1. NVIDIA GTC Conference unveils new powerful AI chips, new AI models, and expanded partnerships

• Nvidia has introduced the Blackwell B200 GPU and GB200 "superchip," marking a significant advancement in AI chip technology with up to 20 petaflops of FP4 horsepower from its 208 billion transistors.

• Nvidia also launches Project GR00T, a groundbreaking AI platform for developing foundation models for general-purpose humanoid robots, in collaboration with leading robotics companies.

• Nvidia also announces expanded partnerships w/ Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and others

2. Apple explores licensing Google's Gemini AI and OpenAI's ChatGPT to enhance iPhone AI capabilities, amidst efforts to boost in-house AI development.

• Apple is in active negotiations with Google to license the Gemini generative AI technology for the iPhone, and is also considering using OpenAI's ChatGPT.

• Apple's existing deal with Google, making Google Search the default search engine on Apple devices, is valued at $18Bn annually

• Despite exploring external partnerships, Apple is developing its own AI technologies, including an in-house chatbot named Apple GPT and a large language model codenamed Ajax, though these are reportedly less advanced than competitors' offerings.

3. Elon Musk's xAI has open-sourced its AI chatbot Grok, making the base model weights and network architecture of the 314Bn parameter Mixture-of-Experts model, Grok-1, available on GitHub.

4. Apple researchers have developed a new LLM named 'MM1', which integrates text and visual information to enhance AI's understanding and generation of language based on visual and linguistic cues.

5. Google researchers have developed VLOGGER, an AI system capable of generating lifelike videos from a single still photo, using advanced ML models for realistic animations of people speaking, gesturing, and moving.

6. Microsoft expands its Copilot Pro subscription globally, initially launched for consumers in January, to 222 countries, offering the AI-powered assistant for $20/month.

7. Adobe's Firefly AI revolutionizes 3D design in Substance suite with text-driven texture and background generation

💰 Top Funding News:

1. Hippocratic AI, which is pioneering the development of a safety-focused foundational LLM for healthcare, raised a $53M Series A at a $500M valuation, co-led by Premji Invest and General Catalyst, w/ SV Angel, Andreessen Horowitz, and prominent health systems and hospitals. 

2. DraftWise, an AI-powered contract and negotiation platform designed for lawyers, raised a $20M Series A led by Index Ventures, w/ Y Combinator and Earlybird Digital East Ventures.

3. HiLabs, which specializes in AI-powered solutions for healthcare data management, raised a $39M Series B, led by Denali Growth Partners and Eight Roads Ventures, w/ F-Prime Capital.
