TLDR: Snapchat is launching "My AI," a chatbot powered by OpenAI's latest version of ChatGPT. Initially, only available to $3.99 per month Snapchat Plus subscribers, the plan is to eventually make the bot available to all 750 million monthly users.

Unlike the standard version of ChatGPT, Snap's version is trained to adhere to trust and safety guidelines, such as not using swear words or violent or sexually explicit content. CEO Evan Spiegel believes AI chatbots will become a part of daily life for more people.

TLDR: Opera has partnered with OpenAI to reshape future versions of its PC and mobile browsers with access to OpenAI's state-of-the-art AI models and personalized support from its research team. This collaboration comes two weeks after Opera's announcement of plans to enter the AI-generated content (AIGC) space through its own solutions and partnerships.

Opera aims to integrate AI and generative computing technologies into its products, enhancing the user experience and offering users everything AI-backed browsing has to offer. The Oslo-based browser company now seeks to expand its existing AI program through this collaboration with OpenAI.

TLDR: Digital bank Chime is developing its own generative AI with the help of a third-party to train its large language models on internal data and codebase so that their software engineers work faster and more efficiently. CTO James Barrese said that if done successfully, Chime would be able to launch new products and features faster and more cost-effectively. Barrese said the technology would allow technologists to search for the basic code they need for build-outs.

Chime felt the need to develop its own generative AI due to concerns about intellectual property, privacy and regulatory compliance with the technology. Barrese said that as Chime expands beyond its SpotMe product to identify fraud and measure credit risk, the fintech will build the models and hire more engineers to expand AI integration throughout the company.

Legal tech startup Robin AI is the first commercial venture to announce the integration of Anthropic models, while Quora's Poe app uses Anthropic models without monetizing.

Anthropic launched a closed beta for an AI system called Claude, similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, that appeared to improve upon ChatGPT’s proclivity to hallucinate but had shortcomings of its own. It is unclear whether these models are Claude or a derivative.
